Soapstone Networks to ring Nasdaq closing bell in celebration of the name and ticker symbol change from Avici Systems

BILLERICA, Mass. -- Avici Systems (NasdaqGM:AVCI - News) today announced that it will celebrate the change of the Company's name to Soapstone Networks and ticker symbol change to SOAP by participating in the NASDAQ® Closing Bell Ceremony on March 19, 2008 at 4:00 p.m.
