Allied Telesyn Lands Triple-Play Deal

Superwire Telecom chooses Allied Telesyn to deliver triple-play voice, video, and data services to LeisureWorld Seal Beach

BOTHELL, Wash. -- Allied Telesyn, a global provider of end-to-end Ethernet/IP solutions, today announced that Superwire, Inc. (NASDAQ non BB:SUPW), has chosen Allied Telesyn as its technology and implementation partner to deliver "Triple Play" voice, video and data services to the approximately 8500 residential customers at Leisure World, Seal Beach, California.

The Allied Telesyn TN9700 was selected by Superwire for its carrier class reliability and service delivery flexibility for both fiber and copper Access Edge. "The IP Ethernet architecture of the TN9700 made it an overwhelming choice for delivering the Triple Play," said Tighe Merelli, CEO, Superwire, Inc.

The TN9700 is environmentally hardened for durability and its compact size is ideal for high-density installations. The Platform has sixteen available service modules that provide up to 384 ports and two control modules for network redundancy. The uniqueness of Allied Telesyn's advanced Gateway provisioning and management system offers the required flexibility to provide end user custom services while maintaining centralized control and security. The Residential Gateway from Allied Telesyn provides Superwire with the ability to leverage in-home coax wiring and MPEG stream analysis which will allow for unprecedented customer service and lowers total cost of ownership.
