SINGAPORE -- Mobileway, leader in managing and monetizing mobile transactions across the globe today announced the availability of MSN Hotmail to mobile phones across three Asian Markets: Hong Kong, Singapore and Taiwan. This follows the agreements made with three mobile operators in the region to offer MSN Hotmail Web-based e-mail service via two-way short message service (SMS). These mobile operators include Hong Kong CSL Ltd, SingTel in Singapore and Chunghwa Telecom in Taiwan. The agreement, which follows successful carrier trials of the MSN Hotmail SMS service in both Chinese and English in the region, will present the three mobile operators additional sources of revenues and render more competitive and compelling mobile services to their subscribers, thereby increasing loyalty.“The introduction of e-mail access via SMS will benefit mobile operators by lowering the cost of entering an increasingly competitive global market as no further investment in hardware or software is required. It will also create opportunities for new revenue streams and ensure that the data traffic received by mobile users is timely and secured,” said Cyrille Even, General Manager and Vice President of Mobileway Asia Pacific.Mobileway Inc.
