AcceLight Uses Xilinx FPGAs

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ:XLNX) today announced a collaboration with AcceLight Networks, a leading aggregation switching and cross connect company, in the delivery of AcceLight's PXS 540 family of Photonic Service Switches (PSS). AcceLight's unique architecture, enabled by Xilinx's high-density, high-speed Virtex-II Platform FPGAs, delivers an integrated system for SONET/SDH STS-1 grooming, optical path and MPLS label switching from 80G to 1.28 terabits in capacity.
