ATLANTA -- ZettaCom, Inc., a designer and supplier of high-performance and configurable network communication IC solutions, and Xilinx, Inc. (NASDAQ: XLNX), today announced they have successfully completed comprehensive interoperability testing between ZettaCom's industry-leading ZSF Terabit Switch Fabric and Xilinx(R) Virtex(R) series using the industry-standard CSIX interface. The proven interoperability and the availability of the reference design board will help accelerate the development of terabit routers, switches and other optical networking equipment based on 10 Gigabit Ethernet and/or POS technology. The companies also announced that ZettaCom has joined the Xilinx Reference Design Alliance Program. "The collaboration with ZettaCom underscores our commitment to build partnerships with ASSP vendors to deliver reference designs that help our customers accelerate their product time-to-market and gain competitive advantage," said Umesh Bhat, senior manager of the Partnership Program at Xilinx. "ZettaCom is one of the few companies in the industry today shipping a terabit switch fabric," said Bennett Le, director of product marketing for ZettaCom. "This reference design with Xilinx will greatly facilitate and speed time-to-market for joint designs that use a Virtex series FPGA and our ZSF device." ZettaCom Inc. Xilinx Inc.
