Virgin.net maintains the lowest broadband price in the ISP price war, scores first for customer satisfaction in latest Forrester report

LONDON -- Virgin.net, the UK's fifth largest Internet Service Provider (ISP), still remains the lowest monthly price amidst the current 'price war' amongst the other major ISPs, including Freeserve and AOL. Virgin.net, who launched its new broadband service last month with the cheapest monthly cost at £24.99, still undercuts the monthly costs of AOL and Freeserve, who have both dropped their prices to £27.99 in the past two weeks. Other major ISP monthly costs include BT Broadband at £27.00 and Tiscali also at £27.99.Both Virgin.net's low monthly cost and 'no strings' approach proves its ever strong emphasis on best value and customer service. In the latest Forrester Report* on the ISP market, Virgin.net customers came out on top of all the big 5 ISPs in terms of 'customer satisfaction' with less than 0.5% saying that they wouldn't recommend the service compared to 15-17% of dissatisfied customers of the other ISPs. The survey also revealed that Virgin.net was voted the most honest service and best value. Additionally, unlike the other top four players, Virgin.net is not forcing its broadband customers to sign a minimum 12 month contract. Instead, Virgin.net Broadband customers have the option to terminate contracts without penalty by giving only 1 months notice.
