Telstra Europe appoints Simon Vye, formerly managing director of COLT Telecom responsible for the UK, Scandinavia, and Benelux

LONDON -- Telstra Europe, one of the UK’s leading telecommunications service providers for business, is pleased to announce the appointment of Simon Vye to the position of Chief Executive Officer, Europe.

Simon is a senior executive within the European Telecommunications industry with many years of international experience, and he joins Telstra Europe from AT&T where he was Director of European Headquartered Global Accounts.

Before that, Simon was the Managing Director of COLT Telecommunications responsible for the UK, Scandinavia and Benelux, restructuring and focusing the business and driving high growth.

Prior to COLT, Simon was Senior Vice President, Sales & Customer Operations with Priority Telecom based in Amsterdam where he was accountable for new business across both Western Europe and the East European nations. His earlier career includes stints as General Manager of Global One Communications and Sales Director at Sprint International, both roles being based in Amsterdam.
