Willtek launches WCDMA system option for its 4400 Series mobile phone tester
February 10, 2004
ISAMINING, Germany -- Following successful product demonstrations with leading mobile phone manufacturers, Willtek today announces its WCDMA System Option for the Willtek 4400 Series Mobile Phone Tester. The future-proof test solution enables service factories to test new WCDMA phones and comprises all the transmitter measurements typically conducted in high-end service, including an ultra-fast staircase power measurement required for certain WCDMA phones. The measurements are performed in non-call mode; a second version with call setup procedures will be available in July 2004.
"Our tests with leading manufacturers showed that the 4400 with the WCDMA test option fulfills the requirements of major phone service factories", says Cyrille Damany, CEO at Willtek Communications. "Now that 3G services are available and terminals hit the market in larger quantities, this test solution is what our customers need".
