Telehouse America welcomes Optical Communications Group to its Chelsea data center facility

NEW YORK -- TELEHOUSE America, a leading provider of global dedicated data centers, international Internet exchanges, and managed IT services, announces today that Optical Communications Group (OCG), a facilities-based provider of technologically advanced, high bandwidth fiber optic transmission capacity for communications carriers, expands its fiber network into the new TELEHOUSE New York Chelsea data center facility. Situated at 85 10th Avenue in Manhattan, TELEHOUSE Chelsea Center offers both carriers and end-user clients high capacity, reliable and high performance network services with low cross connect fees, among other benefits.

OCG presently operates networks in Long Island, New Jersey, and New York City’s five boroughs, comprised of nearly 500 miles of fiber, nearly one hundred percent of which is underground. In addition to its new tenancy at TELEHOUSE Chelsea Center, OCG has been located at TELEHOUSE’s flagship facility, 7 Teleport Drive in Staten Island, since 2006.
