PeerApp expands development capacity with Russian R&D center

NEWTON, MA -- PeerApp, the leading provider of transparent caching platforms for Internet content delivery, today announced the opening of its newest research and development facility in Novosibirsk, Russia. The Novosibirsk R&D center will focus on development of capabilities for large-scale distributed deployments of PeerApp's market-leading UltraBand product family.

PeerApp's UltraBand transparent caching platform is used by over 270 fixed and mobile network operators to manage the growth of video and other over-the-top content on their networks. It speeds content delivery and reduces network load by automatically detecting popular content and delivering it from the network edge.

The developers for the Russia R&D team were selected for their experience in content caching and delivery, including development of innovative content delivery solutions for leading Russian network operators.
