China TD-LTE Latest

11:00 AM -- For those keeping an eye on TD-Long Term Evolution (LTE) developments -- and there are a number of those at the moment -- there's news of 3G-to-4G migration process from the next-gen mobile technology's biggest supporter, China Mobile Ltd. According to Capital Vue, which cites the China Business News, China Mobile has completed testing on a hybrid TD-SCDMA/TD-LTE network, and is preparing to launch TD-LTE trials networks in three coastal cities.

China Mobile is keen to see TD-LTE mature as a commercial technology as soon as possible, and has been testing the technology at the Expo 2010 show in Shanghai. (See Motorola's Shanghai Hope and China Mobile Fast-Tracks TD-LTE .)
