SHENZHEN, China -- ZTE Corporation, (H share stock code: 0763.HK / A share stock code: 000063.SZ), a leading global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, today announced that Vietnam’s largest operator VNPT has chosen ZTE’s high-end cluster router ZXR10 T8000 as the Internet egress gateway to connect a number of ISPs, providing them with high-speed, safe and reliable data communication services.

This is another significant application of the T8000 after ZTE made a breakthrough in the high-end cluster router market in 2009. This product has received recognition from customers in China and Indonesia.

Due to the rapid growth of mobile subscribers and the gradual evolution and integration of VNPT wireless networks and the Internet, subscribers have come to expect high-speed mobile data and multimedia services.

However, VNPT’s current network Internet egress is based on the ZXR10 10G platform, whose interface capacity and performance is having difficulty meeting the broadband mobile communication requirements of high-speed multimedia services. As a result, VNPT decided to continue working with ZTE to improve the bearing capability of its current network and use the ZXR10 T8000 cluster router to replace the previous egress router.

“The ZXR10 T8000 cluster router can solve our network expandability problem. The equipment runs reliably and demonstrates excellent performance; it can fully meet our requirements,” said a VNPT spokesperson.
