CALABASAS, Calif. -- Ixia (Nasdaq: XXIA), a leading provider of high-speed, multiport network performance analysis and network monitoring systems, introduced today the field-portable IXIA 250 analysis system. The IXIA 250 is self-contained, yet powerful enough to run every Ixia application and Load Module, from 10/100 through 10 Gigabit Ethernet and OC-3 through OC-192 Packet over SONET. The IXIA 250 is a rugged chassis that integrates everything needed to conduct sophisticated tests in remote locations, including an LCD TFT touch screen display, keyboard, and mouse. The IXIA 250 is an essential tool for field operations teams that are deploying or troubleshooting Ethernet or Packet Over SONET networks. Internet Service Providers (ISPs), Carriers, and large enterprises can use the IXIA 250 to monitor live network operations, to simulate network traffic conditions, to hot stage modifications and additions to the network, and to perform service turn-up testing. The IXIA 250 works seamlessly with Ixia's full line of application software, including IxActivate.“The IXIA 250 incorporates the key components necessary to execute tests outside a laboratory environment. It contains a built-in Gigabit Ethernet test port, yet still supports expansion using any Ixia Load Module and runs every automated application from Ixia’s extensive library,” said Josh Goldstein, Ixia’s director of product management. “The IXIA 250 is truly unique in that it brings Ixia’s powerful and proven capabilities in the lab out onto the field, allowing enterprise users, carriers and service providers to improve quality and deploy new services.”Ixia
