SINGAPORE -- Bridge Mobile Alliance – a joint venture between 8 leading mobile operators in the Asia Pacific region – has chosen Aepona Causeway as one of the key integration platform for service development.

Bridge Mobile is an alliance encompassing eight leading Asia Pacific mobile operators, with a combined subscriber base consisting of 64 million. The eight operators in the alliance are SingTel Mobile (Singapore), SingTel Optus (Australia), Airtel (India), Maxis (Malaysia), Telkomsel (Indonesia), Globe Telecom (Philippines), Taiwan Mobile (Taiwan) and CSL (Hong Kong).

The alliance aims to put in place a regional mobile infrastructure to facilitate the seamless development and delivery of regional services. An integral part of this infrastructure is the creation of an open and standards-based integration gateway, which provides a common interface to the network resources across the member operators.

According to Liam McQuillan, Aepona’s CEO, the relationship with Bridge Mobile is particularly exciting. “With Aepona Causeway, the business objectives and technology potential come together. Bridge Mobile’s business requirements provide an opportunity for Aepona Causeway to lend its expertise. In view of the Alliance’s goal to develop a suite of common regional services, the key challenge is to facilitate the use of modern application development environments by having a common interface into network resources. In this regard, Aepona, whose expertise is in open and standards based integration provides a compelling value proposition in Aepona Causeway”.
