PETAH TIKVA, Israel -- ECI Telecom (NASDAQ: ECIL - News) today introduced its Hi-FOCuS(TM)5 Multi-Service Access Gateway (MSAG) Platform. This new versatile access platform is the first high availability solution that offers true network convergence by enabling service providers to deliver bandwidth intensive video, data and voice services for residential and business subscribers all under the same platform, management, and operations, and as a result clearing the network clutter and bringing substantial savings in OPEX/CAPEX.

With unprecedented switching capacity of up to 128 Gbps, multiple 1 Gbps and 10 Gbps interfaces and non-blocking architecture, the Hi-FOCuS5 eliminates the access bandwidth bottleneck, thus enabling service providers to deliver bandwidth-intensive IP-based video services, such as TV and video channel streaming, as well as personalized content, such as Video-on-Demand (VoD), Network-based Personal Video Recorder (nPVR) and peer-to-peer applications, all on a single platform.
