NORTHBROOK, Il. -- iNOC, the leading provider of Network Operations Center (NOC) services to the cable industry, today announced that a Top 10 cable company has deployed its Service Level Agreement (SLA) Management Service. The service allows the cable provider to guarantee service assurance for its Ethernet services to business customers. iNOC is using the Etherjack®-enabled FSP 150 products from ADVA Optical Networking, a leading provider of intelligent Ethernet demarcation devices.

As cable companies begin providing Ethernet-based services that compete with traditional offerings such as Frame Relay and Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) technologies, the requirement to monitor Ethernet Quality of Service (QoS) across the entire network becomes more critical. iNOC's SLA Management Service and ADVA's Etherjack®-enabled FSP 150 product portfolio enable communications service providers to cost-effectively offer service level assurance end-to-end, both in point-to-point and multi-point location networks.

iNOC has integrated its 24x7 NOC monitoring, management and reporting service with ADVA's Etherjack demarcation and extension devices to bring the SLA Management Service to market. The combined offering provides a transport and service assurance solution, optimizing deployment costs and ongoing service management.

"Ethernet services are competing very effectively with legacy technologies," added Prasad Ravi, iNOC's CEO. "By partnering with ADVA, we enable Ethernet service providers to verify service level agreements (SLAs) and offer an intelligent differentiated Ethernet service. This gives our clients a competitive advantage as they grow their Enterprise business customer base".
