SingTel Expan broadens data network center service with routing and security solutions from Cisco Systems

SINGAPORE -- SingTel EXPAN improved its data network center service with a full suite of routing and security solutions from Cisco Systems® (NASDAQ:CSCO - News). Customers now can obtain a full range of networking and security hardware and software solutions, including routers, switches, firewalls and intrusion detection/protection sensors, from a single source for a monthly rental fee.
SingTel EXPAN also will offer the latest Cisco® integrated services routers, the Cisco 1800, 2800 and 3800 series. Cisco integrated services routers ship with built-in virtual private network (VPN) hardware encryption and acceleration, version 2.0 of the intuitive Cisco Router and Security Device Manager (SDM) for ease of management, Cisco IOS® Software-based VPN firewall as well as inline intrusion prevention system (IPS) functions. In addition to embedded security features, Cisco offers voice services integrated into the routers, which makes it easy to deploy telephony services, while offering higher combined data and voice densities in a single system.
EXPAN is a pan-Asian chain of data network centers, built upon SingTel's network infrastructure, that provides a highly secure hosting environment where customers can host their application and network systems, and have access to high-end technologies and data center resources. SingTel is a member of the Cisco Powered Network Program. The Cisco Powered logo indicates that SingTel EXPAN delivers its data network center service over a network built end to end with Cisco products. Service providers achieving Cisco Powered Network designation for their services also typically maintain high levels of service quality and customer satisfaction.
