Actelis Networks signs distribution agreements for its Ethernet platforms in the UK, The Netherlands, and Switzerland

VENICE, Italy -- New opportunities to unlock thegreater potential of copper in the UK, the Netherlands and Switzerlandwere announced by Actelis Networks at the Broadband World Forum inVenice. It has signed new distribution agreements in all threecountries so that network operators and business enterprises have readyaccess to the Ethernet opportunity that maximises the bandwidthcapability of existing copper infrastructures.
In the UK, Microtel, a division of Kenton research, has signed adistribution agreement with Actelis. It has already achieved some earlysuccesses with systems deployed with the UK’s Ministry of Defence. “Weare delighted to be appointed as Actelis’s partner in the UK”, said JohnLarkin, Microtel’s sales and marketing director. “The MetaLIGHTÒproducts are aimed at both service providers and the enterprise marketand the early level of interest we have seen has been amazing.”
Through Q&I, the Actelis distributor in The Netherlands, severalmunicipalities such as Roermond and Bergen op Zoom now enjoy faster,better communication after deploying MetaLIGHTÒ products over existinglines, extending the municipality LAN network to connect their varioussites. “We are proud of the robustness of the Actelis products evidentin daily operation in many municipality sites,” said Mr Servie Janssen,manager of product marketing at Q&I. “The error-free continuousoperation makes it a “deploy-and-forget” type of product”.
The third distribution agreement was signed with Omni Ray, a leadingcommercial and service enterprise for industrial automation inSwitzerland. “Business enterprises need increasing bandwidth to meet theneeds and opportunities of today’s technology by maximizing thepotential of their copper infrastructure,” confirmed Rene Jost, divisionmanager of computing and communication for Omni Ray. “With the Actelissolutions, we can deliver that potential quickly and cost effectively,without disruption.”
