Commenting on the results, Duco Sickinghe, Telenet’s Chief Executive Officer, said:
"Operating and financial progress in our third quarter of 2006, often the slow quarter in our industry due to summer, have exceeded our expectations. Telenet’s Q3 06 delivered 79,000 net RGU additions – our highest ever quarterly increase, even together with a solid EBITDA result. Since the start of this year we have added 224,000 RGUs through a combination of internet, telephony and iDTV services take up. As a result we have again increased our RGUs and ARPU per unique customer. Having ended Q3 06 with 2,963,000 RGUs, we are delighted to announce that we have since then passed the 3 million RGU milestone.
