MINNEAPOLIS -- ADC (NASDAQ: ADCT) (www.adc.com), a leading supplier of infrastructure solutions for fiber deployments, announced today that Grand River Mutual Telephone Corp., an independent telephone company providing broadband services across 48 exchanges in northwest and north central Missouri and south central Iowa communities, has standardized on ADC’s equipment to overbuild its existing copper network with Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH). The first phase of the network upgrade, which began in April in Bethany and Princeton, Missouri and Leon, Iowa, is expected to be completed by summer of 2010. The FTTH rollout will continue in other communities on an on-going phased approach.

“We selected ADC equipment for our FTTH deployment because of our previous experience with the company’s quality products and dedicated customer service,” said Jim Clark, director of network operations for Grand River Mutual Telephone. “As we re-engineer our network into the future, we will provide much faster broadband speeds to each and every customer using ADC’s fiber solutions and installation expertise. Grand River Mutual is committed to providing advanced services for our residential customers and an advanced network for our business customers to ensure the economic viability of the areas we serve.”

Grand River Mutual Telephone’s Bethany and Princeton, Missouri exchanges as well as the new central office in Leon, Iowa, which supports that entire exchange, feature ADC’s OMX splice cabinet and Next Generation Frame (NGF) which were selected due to the products’ high density, superior cable management and reduced floor space requirements. ADC also provided local installation support.

ADC offers complete, end-to-end network infrastructure solutions for FTTX networks that save time and money, and help improve customer satisfaction. The product portfolio offers indoor and outdoor environmental protection; advanced cable management; time-saving cross-connect options; field-proven performance and reliability; pre-terminated and plug-and-play options; and adheres to rigorous quality standards.
