BaySpec Adds Mux/Demux

FREMONT, Calif. -- BaySpec, Inc., a leading solution provider founded in 1999 and OEM supplier of advanced and innovative photonic products for fiber-optic communications networks, today announces the addition of an ultra-low-loss version of its ChromaticaTM family of DWDM Mux/Demux products. Based on its patented volume phase grating (VPGTM) technology the new Chromatica UltraTM devices feature a typical insertion loss of 2 dB over all 40 channels. These devices utilize the same small form factor and athermal design of the standard ChromaticaTM products and offer significant cost advantages over other solutions.
