BaySpec Adds Mux/Demux

Adds an ultra-low-loss version of its Chromatica family of DWDM mux/demux products

FREMONT, Calif. -- BaySpec, Inc., a leading solution provider founded in 1999 and OEM supplier of advanced and innovative photonic products for fiber-optic communications networks, today announces the addition of an ultra-low-loss version of its ChromaticaTM family of DWDM Mux/Demux products. Based on its patented volume phase grating (VPGTM) technology the new Chromatica UltraTM devices feature a typical insertion loss of 2 dB over all 40 channels. These devices utilize the same small form factor and athermal design of the standard ChromaticaTM products and offer significant cost advantages over other solutions. The devices are designed to fully meet Telcordia GR-1209/1221 requirements. “Our new ultra-low insertion loss Mux/Demux products exhibit superior technical and cost performance over alternative solutions, thereby enabling our customers to significantly improve their system link budgets in a cost effective manner,” stated Li Chen, BaySpec’s VP of Technology.BaySpec Inc.
