Vivato CEO Steps Down
It's bye-bye Biba as switch startup sees more management changes
October 9, 2003
Wireless LAN switch startup Vivato Inc. has confirmed that Ken Biba has stepped down as CEO of the company.
He will stay on as the firm's chairman. A spokeswoman for the company told Unstrung that Vivato has appointed an unnamed interim CEO and is on the hunt for a permanent replacement.
The shakeup at the top comes after Vivato made a number of management changes and laid off around 10 percent of its workforce in August (see Vivato: Shaken & Stirred Up ).
The spokeswoman for Vivato says that Biba's move is all part of the same process: "This is positioning to take the company to the next level...
"The board, which includes the VCs, are supportive of the management changes," she added, helpfully.
