EL SEGUNDA, Calif. -- After a successful run in Rio, 4K ultra-high-definition (UHD) is about to take on the gridiron. AT&T will offer 6 Notre Dame Football on NBC games in 4K UHD on DIRECTV this season.**

In addition to NBC's traditional HD broadcast of all Notre Dame Football home games, NBC and DIRECTV will offer viewers 4K coverage of every Fighting Irish Football home game during the 2016 season.

Viewers will get 4K coverage of Notre Dame Football on NBC live. The 4K coverage accompanies NBC's high-definition broadcast. It will feature the same on air commentators, camera angles and graphics.

These games will mark the first live broadcasts of college football games in the crisp, detail-rich 4K UHD format. NBC Sports will produce them.

Coverage kicks off Saturday, Sept. 10 at 3:30 p.m. ET. The Fighting Irish will take on the Nevada Wolf Pack for their home opener. Find the games on DIRECTV channel 106.
