It looks like C-COR's big bet on operations support system (OSS) software may be starting to pay off. The company announced an enterprise-wide agreement with Time Warner Cable today. Through the deal, the MSO will integrate C-COR's Network Service Manager solution in all its cable systems. NSM enables MSOs to proactively monitor their entire service delivery infrastructure, offering root cause analysis capabilities to quickly diagnose system failures. Additionally, NSM offers several bandwidth and service usage management tools. These capabilities are critical for MSOs like Time Warner that are widely deploying VoIP services. Time Warner Cable's Oceanic and San Diego divisions already use C-COR's NSM. C-COR expanded its OSS solution set by snapping up Stargus Inc. for $17 million and Alopa Networks for $15 million in mid 2004.
