SAN JOSE, Calif. -- NETGEAR, Inc. (nasdaqgm:NTGR), a global networking company that delivers innovative products to consumers, businesses and service providers, announced today that its DEVG2000F Small Cell Home Gateway is now available for network integration by service providers with an Alcatel-Lucent Mobile network infrastructure. The DEVG2000F is the result of a long-term collaboration with Broadcom Corporation and Alcatel-Lucent to lower costs, deliver higher performance and expand mobile coverage for service providers.

The DEVG2000F quad-play small cell home gateway offers significant benefits to service providers operating both mobile and fixed line networks. Operators can now expand 3G HSPA+ Mobile coverage beyond the reach of their existing footprint to fixed line customers at home, assure Quality of Service (QoS) to mobile devices, and seamlessly move traffic from macrocells to small cells, increasing spectrum utilization efficiency. Footprint expansion drives higher ARPU from added mobile voice, media access and innovative applications via the NETGEAR Smart Network Cloud Application Platform. Subscribers at home, in business offices and in public hot spots benefit from expanded network coverage and capacity, enjoying longer battery life and faster data services on their mobile devices. Mobile operators further benefit from reduced OPEX with the extension of network management into their customers' premises.
