CAMBRIDGE, UK -- Leading femtocell and picocell manufacturer, ip.access, today announced an expansion to its nano3G range of Access Points, offering increased 3G coverage & capacity for up to 24 users, targeted for larger offices and indoor public environments.

The new E16 and E24 picocell Access Points will provide the ease of set-up and installation associated with traditional femtocell deployments, alongside the increased power, capacity, features and performance of enterprise E-class products. The E-class Access Points are based on the same award-winning ip.access technology which lies at the heart of AT&T’s 3G MicroCell – the world’s largest consumer femtocell deployment.

The new E-class products complement the existing S8 Access Point, aimed at smaller offices and shops. All these products can be configured for open access, two-way handover with the macro network, and active alarms, making them ideal for targeted deployment in enterprises and public environments.

Announcing the expansion of the nano3G range, ip.access CEO Simon Brown said: “The office smartphone population is rising rapidly and these users are among the very heaviest consumers of data both in and out of the office.

“The ease of deployment of our E-class and S-class Access Points allows operators to quickly deliver cost effective solutions to boost both coverage and capacity for their busiest customers in their busiest environment – and at the same time relieve pressure on the surrounding macro network.”
