Integra Telecom Names New CEO

VANCOUVER -- Integra, a provider of fiber-based, enterprise-grade networking, communications and technology solutions, announced today that its Board of Directors has named telecommunications veteran Marc Willency to the role of Chief Executive Officer, effective Sept. 8, 2015. Willency will also serve on Integra's Board of Directors.

Willency joins Integra with more than 17 years at leading industry companies. He will take on responsibility for growing Integra's two primary business units, Integra Business and Electric Lightwave, to accelerate the execution of the company's long-term strategy of building upon its unique and expansive network assets to deliver on the sophisticated communications needs of its customers.

Most recently, Willency served as group vice president for customer solutions and enablement at Level 3 Communications, where he oversaw several sales, operations, and customer experience management functions in the North American region. Prior to that, Willency was senior vice president of customer operations at tw telecom. He previously held senior positions in operations, sales and support, and customer experience at tw telecom.

Willency succeeds Integra's interim president and CEO, Robert E. Guth, who was appointed to the role in September 2014 and has served on the Integra Board of Directors since 2009. Guth will remain on the Integra Board of Directors as Vice Chairman.
