MINNEAPOLIS and WAPAKONETA, Ohio -– Allot Communications and First Network Group, Inc. have combined forces to offer complementary secure network and traffic management technologies, allowing Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to more effectively control operational costs, identify and mitigate security threats, increase user visibility into networks and optimize network performance.

Together, the companies now offer improved network visibility and security to users that leverage the network intelligence capabilities of Allot’s NetEnforcer broadband manager with the monitoring and centralized user authentication provided by First Network Group’s DHCPatriot. Through advanced deep packet inspection, users can more effectively manage network traffic using importance prioritization, which matches customer expectations and application requirements with policies to intelligently manage available network resources.

“Using these technologies together can help ISPs better manage networks to ensure quality of service and access in-depth reports into who and what is using the network,” said Darren Ankney, vice president of product development, First Network Group. “Service providers can set policies that separately monitor and control subscriber activities and control and prioritize bandwidth-intensive applications. This results in the delivery of fair and equitable service levels among all subscribers.”
