8:00 AM -- Cisco announced it is buying Navini Networks this morning. Congrats to Unstrung Site Editor Dan Jones and his team for breaking this story back on October 15.
On this page, Cisco's Tony Bates explains the company's 2004 stance reversal by simply stating that the vendor listens to its customers and observes the market. Bates added:
As part of Cisco's normal due diligence in acquiring a company, we carefully evaluated a number of possibilities before selecting Navini Networks. We believed that Navini Networks best met our key requirements for successful acquisitions.
