Leap-MetroPCS Deal Gets More Confusing

8:40 PM -- So Leap has responded to MetroPCS pulling its $7.5 billion bid for operator by saying that it is still open to talks on a merger with its rival."Our position regarding MetroPCS has not changed and we remain open to substantive discussions concerning a strategic combination that is in the best interests of all of Leap’s shareholders," the operator says in a statement.

I wonder what the sticking point is here? Money certainly seems to have been an issue for Leap when it rejected the initial MetroPCS bid as "inadequate," but MetroPCS hasn't made any official comment about raising its bid.
