Jokes.com Relaunches

4:45 PM -- Today on Contentinople:

  • Comedy Central has relaunched Jokes.com, transforming it from a home for more than 12,000 text jokes to a repository of text, video, and biographical information for stand-up comedians.

  • The NHL expands its relationship with Level 3, now using the service provider's CDN for storage, caching, and download services, as well as HD streaming.

  • The U.K.'s Competition Commission thwarted BBC Worldwide, Channel 4, and ITV's plans for an online video-on-demand service with more than 10,000 hours of content, saying the project, codenamed Project Kangaroo, would restrict competition.

And in today's News Bits, Twitter promises revenue by first quarter 2009.
