Hisense Intros 120km SFP Transceiver

QINGDAO, China -- Hisense, a global leader in the design, development and fabrication of cutting edge optical components, modules, subassemblies and systems for applications in optical transmission systems and networks, today announced they would attend the 6th China international optoelectronic Expo(CIOE) hold in Shenzhen, from September 6 to September 9 2004.

Hisense will showcase their GBIC and SFP series transceiver including the most recent published 120Km 1.25G SFP transceiver in the 6th CIOE. LTD1531, the 1.25G transceiver, adopts 1550nm wavelength, with integrated Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM) functionality, supports up to 120Km transmission.

Hisense Optoelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. was founded as a joint venture between Hisense Co., Ltd., Ligent International (USA), Inc. and other investors in year 2003.

Hisense Opto has convened an elite engineering team with tremendous industry expertise and experience. Facilitated with advanced tools at the Company's state-of-the-art R & D labs at both Qingdao, China and Chicago, U.S., the team is creating the industry's most innovative fiber optics products. Understanding the full experience of women in technology requires starting at the collegiate level (or sooner) and studying the technologies women are involved with, company cultures they're part of and personal experiences of individuals.

During this WiC radio show, we will talk with Nicole Engelbert, the director of Research & Analysis for Ovum Technology and a 23-year telecom industry veteran, about her experiences and perspectives on women in tech. Engelbert covers infrastructure, applications and industries for Ovum, but she is also involved in the research firm's higher education team and has helped colleges and universities globally leverage technology as a strategy for improving recruitment, retention and graduation performance.

She will share her unique insight into the collegiate level, where women pursuing engineering and STEM-related degrees is dwindling. Engelbert will also reveal new, original Ovum research on the topics of artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, security and augmented reality, as well as discuss what each of those technologies might mean for women in our field. As always, we'll also leave plenty of time to answer all your questions live on the air and chat board.
