fSona names Sunny Taylor, previously VP of sales for US and Canada at P-Com, as its CEO

VANCOUVER -- The Board of Directors of fSONA Systems, the recognized leading provider of optical wireless solutions to military, homeland security and service provider customers, is pleased to announce that Sunny Taylor has been named Chief Executive Officer and Member of the Board of Directors.

Ms. Taylor has devoted the last 15 years of her career to driving the sales teams of leading communications companies. She has held senior executive sales and business development positions with responsibility for growing market share in the US and Canada. Most recently, Ms. Taylor served as fSONA’s Vice President of Sales, North America where she was responsible for leading the sales activities for the region as well as for all Federal and Military accounts.

“fSONA’s SONAbeam systems have proven themselves to be the leading high-performance optical wireless systems on the market today,” commented Ms. Taylor. “They are in use at military bases, in service provider networks and in private networks around the globe. Prior to joining fSONA, Ms. Taylor was Vice President of Sales, U.S. & Canada for P-Com, Inc., a manufacturer and integrator of broadband wireless equipment headquartered outside of San Jose, CA. She served as Director of Business Development for start-up Columbia Spectrum Management until its acquisition by P-Com, and Director of Marketing for FirstPAGE USA, from 1988 until its acquisition by Metrocall in 1994. Ms. Taylor spent two years as Vice President of Government Affairs for Collins & Associates, and served on the legislative staff of The Honorable Daniel A. Mica, U.S. House of Representatives.
