NTT Supplies 100GE to Hetzner

LONDON, UK, and GUNZENHAUSEN, Germany -- NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com), the global data and IP services arm of Fortune Global 500 telecom leader NTT (NYSE: NTT), announced today that it has been selected by leading web hosting provider and data center operator Hetzner Online to supply 100GE IP transit services to support its rapid growth in Germany and abroad. NTT Communications is the first Tier-1 global provider of 100GE connectivity to Hetzner Online.

NTT Communications’ Tier-1 Global IP Network is consistently ranked among the top networks worldwide. In 2014 NTT Com established new connection points to its global IP backbone in Europe, Asia and North America. The company opened a new PoP in Luxembourg built exclusively on 100GE network links. NTT Com recently broke new ground when it became the first carrier to deploy 100G Ethernet technologies on its PC-1 subsea cable system – a 21,000km network linking Japan with the US. The company is also rolling out the technology on its Asia Submarine Express cable.
