IRVINE, Calif. -- VitalStream, Inc. (OTCBB:VSTH - News), the world leader in video streaming, has strengthened its Content Delivery Network (CDN) with a multimillion dollar investment in technology and capacity to service current customers experiencing growth and establish a best-in-class platform for future growth.

Our CDN is ideally suited to deliver a full suite of rich media services, including DVD-quality video, to our rapidly growing customer base," said Jack Waterman, CEO of VitalStream. This infrastructure upgrade is the final phase in VitalStream's year long expansion, resulting in the industry's most advanced fully-scalable network designed to reliably service the most aggressive growth scenarios already being realized by all users of rich streaming technology. VitalStream currently provides more than 600 customers with world class content delivery services, and continues to project significant growth through 2006.

A Storage Area Network (SAN) solution from Hitachi, combined with over 1,000 new servers distributed among VitalStream's multiple data centers with 10 Gigabit peering, have strengthened the network's infrastructure by dramatically increasing its scalability and capacity. In conjunction with this advancement, which was driven by exceptional customer growth, VitalStream has enhanced its globally load-balanced traffic management feature, improving its ability to select the ideal data center from which to initiate each individual data stream. This build-out underscores VitalStream's commitment to maintaining its CDN capacity significantly ahead of any industry demand, and is backed by VitalStream's updated service level agreement promising premium, reliable performance. Further upgrades will continuously be made to ensure this commitment is met.
