Cox Picks Ensequence for ITV Software
1 Min Read
Seeking to push further into interactive TV (ITV) services, Cox Communications has tapped Ensequence for some help. Ensequence, a startup based in Portland, Ore., will supply ITV authoring software and services for Cox to create localized interactive content for sporting events, game shows, real-time voting, commercials and enhanced TV applications. Ensequence says its software suite, known as on-Q, will create applications that comply with CableLabs' OCAP spec, as well as the OpenCable Enhanced Television Binary Interchange Format standard. The deal represents Ensequence's first contract with a U.S. MSO. The company has done most of its work in the U.K. up until now.
