Telekom Austria Notes America Movil Holdings

VIENNA -- The Telekom Austria Group (VSE: TKA, OTC US: TKAGY) has been informed that today América Móvil S.A.B. de C. V. („América Móvil“), Mexico, holds directly and indirectly 6.75% of total shares outstanding of Telekom Austria AG. América Móvil holds directly 7,935,700 shares of Telekom Austria AG, which equates to 1.79% of total outstanding shares.

In addition on 15 June 2012 América Móvil has signed an agreement that is subject to conditions precedents for the purchase of up to 70,923,890 shares of Telekom Austria AG, which equates to up to 16.01% of total shares outstanding of Telekom Austria AG. In case the conditions precedents will be fulfilled América Móvil would equate a total shareholding of 22.76% of outstanding shares of Telekom Austria AG. With this transaction América Móvil exceeds the 5% threshold for the announcements of holdings of stocks according to § 91 of the Austrian Stock Exchange Act.

Furthermore Telekom Austria was told that the Mexican enterprise Immobiliaria Carso, of which the Slim family owns the majority, has further 3.14 % of Telekom Austria.
