SMB customers will also benefit from the enterprise-class Quality of Service (QoS) features, which include DiffServ and 802.1p priority support, for such demanding applications as Voice-Over-IP (VOIP) and multimedia. IGMP snooping, another benefit for customers, provides for efficient streaming of video/audio content from the World Wide Web.

"The DX240 and DX160 were designed specifically for the SMB market," said Paul Valentine, Marvell's Senior Director, Product Marketing. "Our DX products offer Advanced QoS and security features expected in Enterprise products but in a cost competitive, low power form factor necessary for the SMB market.
