NORWOOD, Mass. -- At this year's Optical Fiber Communications Conference, February23 - 26, in the Los Angeles Convention Center, Analog Devices, a global leader in high-performance semiconductors for signal-processing applications, will be demonstrating the most advanced signal processing technology available for fiber optic communications.

Analog Devices understands how signal processing is applied to next-generation optical networks and supplies a broad array of analog, DSP and application specific integrated circuits that are central to fiber optic communications equipment. The company has remained focused on the cost, size, power and design time challenges facing module and system OEMs of metro and access optical network equipment.

Analog Devices will be at booth number 3907 in the West Hall and will be demonstrating:

  • A new SFP Reference Design that supports SFF-8472 Digital Diagnostics while providing a complete optical transmitter chip set for the Multi-source Agreement (MSA) market, -- The industry's leading Digital-to-Analog and Analog-to-Digital Converters used to improve control precision in a metro optical switch,

  • A new TEC Controller that provides a highly integrated solution for high-precision laser temperature control, and

  • A new Dual Logarithmic Converter that enables cost and PC board area reductions with the functionality of two logarithmic converters on a single chip in a LFCSP package.
