Cyprus' Cablenet launches new VoD and time-shift TV services with broadpeak CDN technology

RENNES, France -- Broadpeak, a leading provider of content delivery networks (CDN) and video-on-demand (VOD) servers for cable, IPTV, OTT and hybrid TV operators worldwide, today announced that Cablenet, the cable operator in Cyprus, has deployed Broadpeak's BkM100 Mediator content delivery network manager and BkS100 on-demand video servers to power its new digital cable service. Using Broadpeak's highly scalable and flexible CDN technology, Cablenet is able to deliver new VOD and time-shift TV services — such as catch-up, start-over, and NPVR — to its subscribers more efficiently, while ensuring the best possible quality of experience.
