SHENZEN, China -- ZTE Corporation, the fastest growing global provider of telecommunications equipment and network solutions, today announced that it will install a national optical transmission network in Morocco for the Office National de l'Electriccite (ONE). Having already broadly deployed its range of technologies in emerging markets, this latest contract win highlights ZTE’s growing momentum and success across the African continent.

In a move to upgrade the country’s telecommunications infrastructure, the Office National de l'Electriccite aims to cover almost all of Morocco’s major cities with the new high bandwidth network. Based around ZTE’s latest MSTP (multi-service transmission platform) product - the ZXMP S385 – the network will integrate multiple functions within a single system to enable easy access to a host of voice, data and video services.

ONE chose ZTE because of its positive experience of working with ZTE in the past and because ZTE offered a powerful, single solution that addressed all the requirements for upgrading their current network infrastructure.
