Tsviatko Ganev joins Zarlink to lead its optical business; former optical chief Jitesh Vadhia takes over the Network Access Division

SWINDON, U.K. -- Zarlink Semiconductor today announced two changes to its executive management ranks.Tsviatko Ganev has joined Zarlink to lead the company’s optical business based in Sweden. Ganev served in a variety of similar positions at Ericsson such as leading the Optical Networking and WDM division, and played a key role in establishing Ericsson’s R&D programs in optoelectronics and developing related manufacturing processes, business plans and market strategy. Ganev has a broad range of education and training, including a Master of Science in Solid State Physics from the University of Uppsala in Sweden.Jitesh Vadhia, who previously led the optical business, is taking the helm of the company’s Network Access Division. He has held a variety of engineering and business development positions at companies such as Marconi, Agilent, and National Semiconductor and holds a B.Sc and M.Sc. from London University. He replaces David Pipkins, who is moving to another assignment in the company.Messrs. Ganev and Vadhia will report to Patrick Brockett, president and CEO of Zarlink Semiconductor.Zarlink Semiconductor Inc.
