SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Xilinx, Inc. (Nasdaq: XLNX - News) today announced that all AllianceCORE(TM) third-party IP providers immediately support the new Spartan(TM)-3 platform, the world's lowest cost FPGAs (announced 4/14/03). This early adoption by third-party IP providers bolsters the ecosystem of support for customers who are already designing with Spartan-3 today. Designers can now download datasheets on specific AllianceCORE IP cores that have been proven in Spartan-3 devices from the Xilinx web site. "The rapid early adoption of the Spartan-3 platform FPGA by our valued AllianceCORE partners underscores the importance of this family and the Xilinx value proposition," said Jerry Banks, Director of Global Alliances at Xilinx. "Spartan-3 continues to build on the strong heritage of the low cost, high volume Spartan family. Support from our AllianceCORE partners will further help to drive Xilinx into new higher volume applications enabled by industry-leading densities and price points". The AllianceCORE program consists of over 35 members and is the largest IP partnership program in the FPGA industry. All members are trained and enabled to support customers with Spartan-3 IP now. The following partners participated in the Spartan-3 early access program:
