(Nasdaq:WJCI) today announces commercial availability of the CA-1249, a densely integrated half-rate clock driver capable of providing the high voltage levels required by optical return-to-zero (RZ) systems for advanced OC-192 fiber optic networks. The CA-1249 is just one model in WJ's portfolio of hybrid-based products optimized for existing and emerging fiber optic networks.
The CA-1249 takes a 10.7-12.5 GHz signal and produces a 5.35-6.25 GHz output controllable from 5 to 16V(pk-pk) for driving LiNbO(3) modulators. Analog controlled phase-shift of 360 degrees enables simple control for synchronization and creation of optical RZ pulses.
