WiMAX Forum Hosts PlugFest

The WiMAX Forum has brought 33 companies from the Mobile WiMax equipment and test equipment communities together for Mobile WiMAX PlugFest

PORTLAND, Ore. -- The WiMAX Forum® has brought 33 companies from the Mobile WiMAX™ equipment and test equipment communities together for the third public Mobile WiMAX PlugFest, an interoperability showcase hosted by AT4 Wireless and ETSI in Sophia Antipolis, France. The PlugFest kicked off on Sunday, May 13, 2007 and concludes on Saturday, May 19, 2007.

Companies participating in the WiMAX Forum-sponsored event include the following system and chipset suppliers: Airspan Networks, Alcatel–Lucent, ApaceWave Technologies, Aperto Networks, Beceem, Fujitsu, GCT Semiconductor, Inc., Intel Corporation, Motorola, Navini Networks, NEC Corporation, Nortel, PicoChip, POSDATA, Redline Communications, Runcom Technologies Ltd., Samsung, Sanyo, SEQUANS Communications, SOMA Networks, Telsima, Wavesat Wireless Inc., XRONet and ZTE Corporation. In addition to these suppliers, nine test equipment vendors supported the event, including Aeroflex, Agilent, Anite Telecoms Ltd., AT4 wireless, Anritsu Limited, Azimuth Systems, Elektrobit, Rohde & Schwarz and Sanjole.
