BURNABY, British Columbia -- Unity Wireless Corporation (OTC BB:UTYW.OB - News), a world class developer of amplifier subcomponents for wireless industry original equipment manufacturers, today announced that it has received a $360,000 order from one of North America's largest Base Station manufacturers, scheduled to ship in Q4 2006 and Q1 2007. As part of a new product development program for the Department of Homeland Security, a successful market trial is expected to lead to total 2007 production revenues in excess of $1 million for this project.
"A break through like this, into the central engineering and purchasing group of one of the world's largest wireless equipment manufacturers, is a significant milestone for the company. Last year we did $250,000 on smaller projects with one of the specialty divisions of this account. This year Unity is on track to achieve over $700,000 in sales. Now, with this new major project taking us into the central engineering and purchasing group, 2007 total sales are expected to jump beyond the million dollar mark," commented Ilan Kenig, President and CEO of Unity Wireless.
Mr. Kenig continued, "This strong beach head at the top level of this Tier-One, gives Unity Wireless the traction and momentum that we need to become involved in a growing share of the potentially significant demand that this account has for our products each year."
