InnerWireless appoints three new board members

RICHARDSON, Texas -- InnerWireless, Inc., a provider of broadband, multi-service wireless distribution systems for large commercial and government buildings, hospitals and other facilities, today announced the appointment of three new members to its board of directors. Mike Crowe, Michael Dennis and Dr. Fred Robertson join the board to provide InnerWireless with additional insight to, and experience in, markets that are key to the company’s growth strategy including healthcare and commercial real estate.

“We are pleased to appoint these very accomplished business leaders to the InnerWireless board of directors,” said Ed Cantwell, InnerWireless’ president, CEO and chairman. “All three bring a breadth of knowledge and insight into the vertical markets where InnerWireless continues to expand. Their presence will further strengthen our board of directors and provide additional outside perspectives on InnerWireless’ business and help shape the company’s growth.”

Mike Crowe is vice president of systems for the Controls Group at Johnson Controls (NYSE: JCI). Crowe oversees global marketing and sales for Johnson Controls’ core business. He has 25 years of professional experience in the building-systems industry. Prior to joining Johnson Controls, he was president of EggSystems USA, a wholly owned unit of EggSystems.com, Singapore, a network-based facility management systems developer. Previously, Crowe served as vice president at Honeywell Inc., where his responsibilities included sales and operations for a 13-state region. Crowe will help facilitate InnerWireless’ strategic alliance with Johnson Controls.

Michael Dennis is a veteran of the U.S. and international commercial real estate industries. His experience includes overseeing the development of the World Financial Center in New York City. Dennis is currently the head of New York City-based Azure Development Group that has led the development of key commercial real estate properties in Europe and in North America. He has also consulted with major corporations to assist in property acquisitions and development. Dennis will provide InnerWireless with additional insight to the global commercial real estate market and how best to facilitate its adoption of in-building wireless technologies.

Dr. Fred Robertson brings more than 20 years of clinical and medical technology experience to the InnerWireless board. He is a pediatric anesthesiologist at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin and an assistant professor of anesthesiology at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Robertson has held senior management positions with GE Medical Systems and Marquette Medical Systems, and he also serves on the corporate boards of other medical technology companies. He will help support InnerWireless on issues specific to applying technology within the healthcare market.
