Covad adds T1 service in 285 cities nationwide

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Covad Communications Company, a leading national provider of integrated voice and data communications, is extending the availability of its business-class T1 service to 285 new cities today through an agreement with New Edge Networks, a wholly-owned subsidiary of EarthLink.

"This expansion will allow Covad and its wholesale partners to better serve current and potential enterprise customers with offices in many different markets," said Lisa Graham, senior vice president and general manager, Covad Wholesale Services. "Covad is reaching out to existing partners and actively seeking relationships with new partners in these areas to bring this product to the broadest possible market."
