Wipro signs deal to integrate TeliaSonera's fixed Network production business unit OSS with next-generation, COTS-based OSS systems

BANGALORE, India -- Wipro Technologies, the global IT services division of Wipro Limited (NYSE:WIT), and TeliaSonera, Nordic's major Telecom Operator, announced today that Wipro Technologies has won one of their major strategic projects for integrating the fixed Network production business unit for TeliaSonera Sweden's operational support systems to the next generation COTS based OSS systems. Under the terms of the agreement, Wipro Technologies will be the prime systems integrator providing an end-to-end integrated OSS platform for SDH and PDH Networks for TeliaSonera and will encompass network inventory, service activation, cross domain management and provisioning. Wipro will also be responsible for architectural realisation, technology road map, implementation and systems integration, Maintenance & support and Vendor Management. Wipro has selected Netcracker for Inventory and Axiom Systems for Provisioning and Service Activation.
