Spectrum today announced it has begun deployment of its new next-generation Advanced WiFi 7 routers, designed to provide Spectrum's residential and business Internet customers with unprecedented speed, connectivity, and performance. With these initial deployments, Spectrum becomes the first major broadband service provider to launch a WiFi 7 technology solution exclusively designed and developed for both its residential and business customers.
WiFi 7 utilizes additional spectrum capacity in the 6 GHz band to enable high-bandwidth, next-generation applications that require faster data throughput and lower-latency connectivity. Building upon previous WiFi technology, WiFi 7 provides fast, reliable and responsive connectivity in addition to enhanced network management, device control, security and router capabilities.
